How to find shark teeth:

The premises appear to have a gift to see shark teeth on the beach, many of which keep the bottles full of teeth that have been found in recent years. Having recently moved to the beach, I wanted to buy some of the skills of indigenous people, including fishing, surfing and searching for shark teeth. After walking with a local that left several times to collect shark's teeth in our conversation, I decided that would not be too difficult.

After taking 10-20 walks with my dog, while constantly looking down, I had not found a single tooth. While having no formal training after high school or in the biology or physics, I believe in the scientific method and wanted to solve the mystery of why local people may find their teeth so easily. The following lessons to reflect what I have learned, observed, or hypothesized to take daily walks on the beach.

Lesson 1

What do you like the teeth of sharks? I have never seen a real fresh white shark teeth on the beach, but have found many fossilized teeth of sharks.

Color - The fossilized shark teeth, the color of the teeth depends on the subjects on which its approval original teeth were buried. I've seen pictures of the fossil teeth ranging in color from very light sandy, brown or gray tone to black. Myrtle Beach, teeth that in turn are largely black tone. In fact, when wet, usually have a brightness to them, almost like wet black paint. For the Myrtle Beach area, color may be the most important factor in the goal.

Form - Based on the movie Jaws, the cartoon Mister mandible, and I learned from the fences, I began the search for objects in the shape of a triangle. It turns out that not all teeth are like a triangle. In fact, most teeth that are not found well-triangular profile. Some quick Internet research revealed that different forms of teeth reflect different species shark. Perhaps more importantly, it is common that a part of the rubber that is attached to the teeth, which, depending on the amount of gum is there the tooth can give a very strange and not triangular outline.
